All people dream. Naturally, we are human.
So what is a dream? How would you describe it? Sometimes you hear someone say, “I wish for ‘something’ to happen. Let’s say ‘a big lottery win’ or ‘that puppy walks in through the door.'” I accept the difference between dreaming and wishing as described, for example if someone always wins the lottery jackpot or just a small amount.
I mean, the dream is unattainable, and that’s why it remains a dream. A wish is something that can be achieved.
After all, I’m human. I’m dreaming right now. A really stupid dream, a summer car. Current gas prices, non-existent parking or storage, and every missing reasonable foundation tells me to stop dreaming.
When I close my eyes and play “Day Dreaming” by Aretha Franklin, I see a beige 1972 Chrysler Newport 4D HT Custom with a 6.6L V8 engine, automatic transmission, less than 500 miles on it. The drivers door is ajar. I hear Aretha on the AM radio. My dream…
