Prayer at the foot of the Himalayas

Among lined cypresses
memories caress coastline of Kalami Bay.
Where the harbor greets a traveller
returning to an island, Greece.

The poet is home – at last.

Unlearned are the bitter wars
as well as lemons on Bellapais Abbey.
To the west of Nîmes on the Vidourle river
the end is set in Sommières, France.

The poet is free – at last.

This poem is an example from yet unpublished volume
currently identified as "I wish it was Texas"
by Yumatzuga (2005-2020).
